The official giving season kicks off with Giving Tuesday. Entering its sixth year, Giving Tuesday is a global day of giving celebrated on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. It was created in response to the widely recognized shopping events Black Friday and Cyber Monday. This year we want to celebrate by highlighting some of InnerWill’s amazing nonprofit partners and helping them reach their Giving Tuesday fundraising goals.

We are grateful for the hard work of these partners, who have engaged with us to develop better people, braver leaders, and a wiser world through the practice of Values Based Leadership. As they develop more leaders, they also grow their ability to fulfill their missions and contribute significantly to the communities they serve. We are continually inspired and humbled by the commitment of these nonprofit teams. They choose to do the hard work of leading by example. And they expand their capacity to do good—no matter the setting.

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia

Goodwill of Central and Coastal Virginia creates pathways to opportunities and success for individuals facing challenges to work. Serving Central Va. since 1923, Goodwill is one of the oldest forms of social enterprise in the U.S. They are well known for selling used goods to fund employment and training programs. Last year, Goodwill operated 5 employment centers, 34 retail stores, and helped 4,000 individuals secure work with a wide variety of employers.

Your support ensures that Goodwill continues to lead our region’s workforce development needs and provide valuable programs, at no charge, to individuals with disabilities, language barriers and lack of education or work experience, as well as those transitioning from the military, from public assistance or from the criminal justice system. Goodwill welcomes your donations of used clothing, household goods and electronics, as well as financial gifts.

The YMCA of Greater Richmond

The YMCA of Greater Richmond has been building strong kids, strong families, and strong communities in Richmond since 1854. The Y is dedicated to making sure the students they serve have safe places to be before and after school, have healthy activities, receive homework help, and nutritious food.

HOME’s mission is to ensure equal access to housing for all people.  HOME fulfills its mission by addressing individual instances of housing discrimination. HOME also takes direct action to aid first-time homebuyers and families with homes under the threat of foreclosure.
